Communities throughout Thailand are working together to fight industrial pollution.  From mountainous Mae Mah in the north to coastal Bangsaphan, communities are taking a stand for a clean and healthy environment.

With the help of Global Community Monitor and our local partner organization EARTH (Ecological Alert and Recovery-Thailand), villagers are using the bucket methodology to monitor for toxic gases and particulates.  The data from the Bucket has helped them win increased regulation, victories in court and even relocation.  Now the fight is moving to the next level as members of the Thai national parliament begin to get involved by proposing tougher regulations and stricter government oversight over industry.
